Acceptable use policy
The standards that protect labels, artists, collaborators and CrateSphere systems.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. Use CrateSphere lawfully and responsibly
Use CrateSphere only for legitimate label, release and collaboration workflows, and comply with applicable laws, contracts and rights obligations. You are responsible for the people you invite and the content they contribute.
2. Content and rights
Only upload, share, store or process material when you have the necessary rights, permissions and lawful basis. This includes music, metadata, artwork, video, images, contracts, personal information and any third-party material.
Do not use CrateSphere to infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, confidentiality, publicity or other rights; to misrepresent ownership or authority; or to distribute unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, harassing or abusive material.
3. Security and platform integrity
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with availability, introduce malicious code, scrape or harvest data, bypass access controls, or reverse engineer the service except where law cannot exclude that right.
Keep credentials confidential, use secure passwords and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised account access or a security issue.
4. No abuse, spam or unlawful distribution
Do not use CrateSphere to send unsolicited bulk messages, impersonate another person or organisation, facilitate fraud, distribute malware, or use service resources in a way that unreasonably disrupts other users or the platform.
5. Reporting concerns
Report suspected security incidents, rights infringement, misuse, privacy issues or abuse to security@cratesphere.org with enough information for us to investigate. Do not exploit a suspected vulnerability beyond what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate it. We encourage responsible disclosure and ask reporters not to disclose vulnerabilities publicly until we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address them.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and take proportionate action, including requesting removal of material, restricting access, suspending an account, preserving information where legally required, or reporting serious unlawful conduct to relevant authorities. We will act reasonably and, where appropriate, give notice of the action taken.
